ALGIS never touches the lumber and all scanning is done from above the grading table. This means no downtime for cleaning.

A manual over-ride means your mill will never be down. An ALGIS installation does not touch the lumber or change the transverse mill flow, therefore graders can return to manual grading in emergencies or for specialty products.

ALGIS is a Maintenance Supervisors dream. If a module fails, a warning strobe goes off and the line shuts down. Spare modules are complete and are plug and play. Change-outs take no more than 10 minutes.

ALGIS gives you all standard grading rules for structural and dimension lumber (NLGA, SPIB, In-house grades and appearance grades).

ALGIS provides a total electrical and temperature control backup system. A constant temperature is maintained at operating temperatures between -40C and +40C. Electrical back-up for 48 hours.

ALGIS can be enhanced by an MSR machine, Slope of Grain detector and Moisture detectors. Whether you have them now or wish to add them in future, they will be compatible with ALGIS. 

ALGIS has a very small footprint (8-10 feet).

Totally secure servicing and program upgrades or changes, will be available via the internet. We will be able to trouble shoot your system remotely. You will not need a special tech person on site. No special training is required. The management control panel is user friendly and all warning systems are automatic.

Installation can be completed in one weekend.
